Anjali (she/her) is a 12th grader from Austin, Texas. She is an alumna of the Kenyon Young Writers Workshop, the Sunhouse Mentorship, and the Adroit Journal Mentorship. Additionally, she has held fellowships from the Austin Central Library and Harvard’s Center for Hellenic Studies. She enjoys watching world cinema, taking double-exposed photography, and playing video games.

Cleo Heroy (she/her) is a 12th grader from Austin, Texas. She loves making art, especially sketching or painting portraits. When she isn't drawing, she's usually found singing, playing piano, spending time with her dog, or just outside enjoying nature. She is inspired from artists like Edward Hopper, Njideka Akunyili Crosby, and Aurora Aksnes!

Katara (she/her) is a 17-year-old 12th grader from Austin, Texas, with a love for reading, typography (especially calligraphy) and photography. When she isn’t immersed in a book, she’s usually rock climbing competitively or exploring the outdoors. A science enthusiast, she has a particular passion for biology, fueled by her deep appreciation for animals and the natural world. She finds inspiration in the works of authors Alan Gratz and Markus Zusak.

Lukas (He/Him) is an 11th grader from Austin, TX. He is usually found being busy all over town becoming an Eagle Scout, volunteering at the library, playing DND with friends, and flying (or foaming over) airplanes. Lukas is planing on studying aeronautics in college!

Emery (any/all) is a 12th grader from Austin, Texas usually found her in her bedroom watching horror movies, reading romance novels, or writing while listening to divorced dad rock or scene music. They hope to major in film studies during college and are inspired by filmmakers like Tom Savini, Diablo Cody, and Gaspar Noé. She is also has four adorable cats.

Olivia is a 12th grader from Austin, Texas who loves to be around animals and listen to music. Her favorite artist is Blood Orange.

Max (any/all) is a seventeen year old from Austin, Texas. Their interests include live music, nature, and searching for the best iced oat milk latte in Texas. Max is inspired by authors like Maggie Thrash and Mona Awad as well as artists like Ana Mendieta and Chris Ofili. Max’s biggest goal is to create as much art as they consume.

Estelle Walker (she/her) is a 9th grader from Austin Texas. It is her first year working on Bibelot and she is very excited. Outside of school she is the captain of her roller derby team, and does static trapeze on the side. She loves writing and creating art of all sorts. Her favorite band is Wet Leg and she has seen them perform twice.

In 1982, I earned 2nd place in Mendenhall Elementary’s spelling bee (lost on the word galactic) and snagged a blue ribbon in a field day foot race the next year. However, the prizes I am most proud of from that time in my life are a perfect attendance certificate and the almost life-size John Travolta coloring book I received on my 10th birthday. Now, I channel that same quirky devotion into my work at Headwaters, where I teach HS English and Theory of Knowledge, advise Extended Essays, and support students as a sponsor of the Merit Council and Bibelot.
